Collection No.1 :
The Initial Dream
This is the first collection of the brand PE99Y YAN9. It contains 10 looks in total including LOOK 0 to LOOK 9 across different projects like White Show Project 2021 at Central Saint Martins, Jersey Project, LVMH projects. These are all the works designer Peiqi(Peggy) Yang had done during their first and second year study at Central Saint Martins. They were all created surrounding the theme “harmony in the future” or “future citizens on planet PE99Y YAN9”. This collection is the initial dream pictured by Peiqi for a peaceful and harmonious future where everybody is able to be themselves and pursue their inner self under the context of equal rights and beautiful nature.

Collection No.2 : MEET U AT THE BAR

This is a short pattern cutting project directed by myself during summer 2022. There are six looks in total continuing my exploration of fabric combinations. Suede and silk jersey are the main materials of this collection. It is inspired by bar culture in London.

SPACE TRAVELERTHIS IS A PRECOLLECTION OUTFIT FOR MY CSM FINAL YEAR GRADUATION SHOW. IT'S INSPIRED BY THE THEME OF SPACE TRAVEL AND PASSENGERS IN THE UNIVERSE, VISITORS FROM THE OUTERSPACE. THIS OUTFIT INCLUDES A 3D PRINTED METALLIC HELMET AND A FULLY KNITED SHINY METALLIC DRESS.

NIGHT OUT IN NYCThis is a summer project of 2023, inspired by early 2000 club aesthetics and outfits. It includes a crochet hood, a blue chainmail fringe dress, and a pair of double layered asymmetrical PVC and sequinned trousers. It my own interpretation of the old clubbing outfit from a modern point of view which blended in many Gen-Z elements.

THE GAMEThis is my first project during my final year at Central Saint Martins. It is a pattern cutting project named “shapes”. I took inspiration from digital game characters and tried to achieve a 3D effect imitating game character’s digital outfit that pops out. I used form in between jersey fabrics to achieve the effect and give a relaxing and sporty feeling to the outfit. The silhouette took inspiration from sports cars and lego patterns. The left sleeve is indicating the shape of a car window with car light sticking out.

FUELThis is an upcycling jacket piece made by me. It was made from four of my old wasted garments including one cotton jacket, one shirt, and two pairs of denim jeans. Reinforcing the sustainability concept of our brand identity.
